Do not count your chickens before they are hatched

I started chatting to him for a while and told him all about how I was looking for gifts and so. Immediately he said he knew where I could get them and if I waited on the bench until I finished my cigarette, he would go get them for me.
Thinking my luck had suddenly changed; I gave him the money and thanked the man.  However, after waiting for a good couple of hours and still no sign of him, I started to have the sickly feeling that I would never see him again...
Well I guess that I learnt my lesson the hard way, which is to “look before you leap!”
After my previous experience, I decided I needed to get away to somewhere secluded before flying home.  So, asking around I learned that Nuweiba is probably one of the best places to go. Packing just a quick change clothes in a rucksack, I hit the road.
The journey was amazing in spite of what they say about it being boring...I found it really relaxing and the landscape was gorgeous. I can’t believe i have lived here for so long and never really noticed it before.
Arriving in Nuweiba, I searched around for somewhere to stay, being recommended a camp site a short distance away, I booked a hut fir the night. After washing up from the journey, I went and sat on the beach; it was so relaxing and rejuvenating, just to sit in silence with no one bothering you with the sound of the sea against the shore.
While I was sitting there enjoying my solitude, the owner of the camp came up to me to see if i wanted anything to eat or drink. After I declined politely, he asked if he could join me. Thinking the company would be nice i agreed.
The man started to tell me about how he had started up his business a long time ago and how he had originally had big hopes. Then five months ago, he had planned on having a big hotel and had already booked it up for the next year, hired staff and organized parties. However, all his hopes came crashing down when he couldn’t get a permit for the hotel...
Well, it seems that he certainly learnt one of life’s harsh lessons, which is: “Do not count your chickens before they are hatched”.

Homeopathy In Sharm

When you visit the doctor, he will ask you what is wrong. "My foot hurts," you might say, and the doctor will lift the foot and look at it from all angles.
He has seen this before. Within 15 minutes, he will learn all of the details he needs to make a diagnosis. He will write on a pad, hand you a slip of paper, and you will hobble out the door. This is how medicine is done, right?
Why is it then, that for the same complaint, a homeopath will require that you sit in her office for at least an hour? Why will she ask you about your childhood, your dreams, your preferences for food, and so on?
What are these tiny white pills she has recommended you, and why do they have a name that sounds so strange?

Real Estate In Sharm

Do You Believe In The Evil Eye?

Hello Muriel,

Do you believe in the evil eye?

 Thanks,
Mona

Dear Mona,
I don’t think it is about belief; it is more about respect and acceptance for other people’s beliefs. It is not about my opinion either as opinions become diluted with age.
The ‘Evil Eye’ is believed by many cultures to be able to cause bad luck or injury on the person to whom it is directed.
The concept and significance of it varies widely between cultures, but for me the psychodynamics are of ‘envy.’
It has been mentioned several times in the Bible and is also mentioned in the Koran.
