Sharm Animal Treatment

Hi Sinai Weekly

This is Angela, I called you earlier regarding the Puppies. As I mentioned I have 7 looking for good homes and they are free of charge.  I have received many calls and emails but I keep getting asked what breed they are.

I am finding that there seems to be a 'status' issue with dogs here now.  I'm telling these people that the Mother lives on the Compound and is a clean, healthy and friendly dog, so much so that I helped when she was giving birth to the pups when she was having difficulty delivering a couple of them I helped them out!  She was never aggressive and I've handled them since their birth (5 1/2 weeks ago).  She is such a gentle mother and happy for people to handle the pups.  Many of the locals often leave food for her like fish and big bones.

I was a Dog Trainer in the UK for 10 years so I do know a thing or two about them.  I had a Golden Retriever (pure breed) and also a Rescue Mongrel Dog, both very lovely dogs, the only difference was the Retriever was found to have Hip Dysplaysia when he was 3 months old.  He had been Hip and eye scored after birth and the results were well below the safety figures.  As a result of several operations and other complications over his 10 years of live the cost to me was well over £8,000 in vet fees.  In the end I had to have him put to sleep as he could no longer use his back legs.

What I'm trying to say here is 'pure bred' is all very well but the cost can be high in both financial terms and the heartbreak it brings with seeing your beloved animal in pain and constantly having to give it drugs which cause there own side effects.

Egypt is not an 'ideal' country for animal care as we all know and if people are now wanting these 'pure breeds' what's going to happen to the poor animals on the streets, if no-one wants them? I personally have found ' animals that have no homes' (as I hate to call them street animals) to be so friendly, when I feed them they take the food from me so gently and then go on their way.

Some-one said to me she had a Baladi Dog and couldn't house train it and it kept biting.  Would a 'pure breed be any different I ask.  You have to put the work in from day one of having a puppy to reap the rewards it will give you later in life.  These dogs have a stronger constituent as they have had to struggle to live and they are more willing to please when they have a good owner that gives them the required training, love and care.

Sorry to go on but I feel very strongly about this 'discrimination' and would like to re-educate people's minds about these animals.

I have attached pictures of the puppies, they are clean, healthy, playful, love to be handled, already eating solids but still feeding on mum.  I hope you can help me with this in some way as I'd hate to see them end up homeless as well.

Many thanks for anything you can do.

With kind regards

Angela

Do Women Really Believe the Earth is Flat? If they Venture Forth Will they Fall off the Edge?

I do not walk in front of my man to test the ground for landmines.
(E.Moon)

The ‘F’ word has no place in my vocabulary.
Instead I have a belief in ‘EOG’
Feminism is an outdated adjective.
EOG sounds more like a substance to save the planet doesn’t it? However it is my own personal belief in ‘Equality of Genders.’ There now I have said it.
Feminism has been around since the 18th century. In 1792 May Wollstonecraft published her Vindication on the Rights of Woman, an important work advocating the rights of women.
Mary’s attitude stems from being born the daughter of a brutish, tyrannical father who bullied his wife into an exhausted state of servitude.
My answer to the male gender that retains the belief they can chain a woman’s mind and body is simply, “get a grip.” No one can own or chain a mind, you cannot steal another human being’s thoughts and you cannot strangle a soul.

An Expert's Guide To Bargain Shopping In Cairo

By Soraya Morayef

Anyone who claims that they can’t find bargain shopping in Cairo is delusional. First of all, we Egyptians love a good bargain; we may not have created the concept of sales and discounts, but we very well could have. Just take a look at any discount store around the world (Primark, Dollar Store, Forever 21), and you may find several of us arguing loudly over the Sale of the Day rack.
