Ramadan, the Holy Islamic month is now here, even if we may not really feel it in Sharm, it is in everyone. Ramadan is period of time where all Muslims all over the world fast for the duration of the month as this is the month that the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed.
Straight after Ramadan is Eid ul-Fitr also known as the small feast. This feast marks the end of Ramadan and fasting, hence the name. Eid Ul-Fitr is a three day celebration, in which all Muslims go out and have a good time having fasted for a whole month.
Sharm is a popular destination for Egyptians during the feast. So if you are not too keen on the crowds rushing from Cairo, maybe now is a good time to take your holiday somewhere other than Sharm.
