Hello Editor,
I looked in the mirror the other day and realized that the winter cold has taken over, and my belly is now protruding forward. Yuk – disgusting yuk. I guess it was all the food I ate over Christmas. Can you let me know where in Sharm I can go, if I want to work out, or loose weight, as I have heard a lot of different opinions about the places in Sharm. Thank you.

Thank you for your email, and let me say, protruding belly does is not a bad thing. That is the effects of media in the last decade that have made you feel that way. Could you imagine Christmas without all that food? Would it have been the same? I doubt. So don’t be so hard on yourself. That doesn’t mean you have to continue to gain, get healthy. The obvious options for healthy in Sharm, in terms of work-out, would be either to enroll in classes with Maria Motta, or Fit n Fun. Their schedules are both available in the Sharm 2 Week Planner in this issue. Sneak peak: if it was me personally, I would opt for yoga as your solution, because it has everything you need, in very simple words. I don’t think it is about belief; it is more about respect and acceptance for other people’s beliefs. It is not about my opinion either as opinions become diluted with age.
The ‘Evil Eye’ is believed by many cultures to be able to cause bad luck or injury on the person to whom it is directed.
The concept and significance of it varies widely between cultures, but for me the psychodynamics are of ‘envy.’
